CSL says vaccine manufacture accelerated

Biotech giant CSL says it has accelerated the manufacture of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine with the first doses planned for release in late March.

The AstraZeneca vaccine was approved for use in Australia by the Therapeutic Goods Administration earlier this week.

Releasing its half-year results, CSL reported a 44 per cent increase in net profit after tax of $1.8 billion, with exceptionally strong performance noted in its Seqirus influenza division driven by record demand.

CSL declared an interim dividend of $1.04 per share, up nine per cent.

Geely-backed factory granted permit to manufacture commercial satellites

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On Feb. 18, Taizhou Xingkong Intelligent Connectivity Technology Co.,Ltd. (Taizhou Xingkong), a satellite business operator owned by Geely Technology Group, received the approval from China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) for its commercial satellite manufacturing project, according to Geely Technology Group’s press release.

TVEL announces manufacturing contracts for fast reactor : New Nuclear

Siberian Chemical Combine (SCC) has signed a contract with CKBM for the manufacture and supply of equipment for the refuelling of the BREST-OD-300 fast reactor demonstration plant. The production, supply and installation supervision of steam generators for the reactor facility will be provided by ZiO-Podolsk Machine-Building Plant. Both CKBM and ZiO-Podolsk are part of the machine-building division of Russia’s Rosatom.
